FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT
Kendall Hall, room 514, is a modern research laboratory suitable for research in molecular biology, cell culture, and trace minerals. It includes a laminar flow biological safety cabinet (Class II A/B3) with 6 ft benchtop, CO2 controlled water-jacketed incubator, upright and inverted microscopes, centrifuge and microfuge, thermalcycler, fume hood, spectrophotometer, atomic absorption flame spectrophotometer, and sophisticated water bath. Adequate office space, with supporting equipment and supplies, desktop personal computers and printers for our research team is located in rooms 409, 411, and 514 of Kendall Hall. A gamma emission detector is available for use by us and is located in a nearby university building, Rudman Hall. The University of New Hampshire's Burley-Demeritt Swine Farm maintains a breeding herd of Yucatan miniature swine. The facility and pigs are available to our research team.
