As a Food and Nutrition Specialist (80%) with UNH Cooperative Extension, (http://ceinfo.unh.edu), I work primarily in the area of food safety education. UNH Cooperative Extension’s food safety programs target each sector of the food system – production, processing, food service, and consumers.
For my 20% teaching appointment, I teach NUTR 510 - Nutrition Education and Counseling, each fall semester. NUTR 510 provides Nutritional Sciences majors, minors, and Thompson School Dietetic Technician students with practical and experiential experiences to plan and implement education and counseling processes.
My research program utilizes cognitive theories and qualitative methodology to examine food acqusition practices.
